Kayaking Bolton Lake, Connecticut

Friday, June 25: This was returning to the scenes of my youth. Bolton Lake was where I learned to swim, and sail, and skate-sail. I met my oldest granddaughter there, and we paddled around the perimeter of this small lake.

A boat for every goose?
This is my favorite photo of the day – I’ve not been able to capture so many little fluff ball babies under Momma Mallard before! I got a little too close, though, and they all went off into the reeds.
Obviously this catamaran hasn’t been out in a while!
Another pair of ducks – and they had their own fountain!
This was one of the home built boats along the shore – peddle power!
